The concept of Darkstar Designs came about in early 2023 when I decided I wanted to create my own products with my own designs or takes on popular themes. A lot of great creators were making patches or items that I loved but wished the imagery was different or they'd used a different scene from a story, movie or book.

So, I decided I would make my own designs, using imagery that I wanted and just hopefully others might want as well. With no formal training in graphic design or even the knowledge of the process of taking concept to an actual patch I started on the journey to launching Dark Star.

I reached out to several makers and asked for advice and a few great individuals took me under their wing and mentored me on the process. With a little knowledge, and a lot of dreaming I launched Dark Star in the summer of 2023 and had our first official drop that September.

The goal of Dark Star is to build a community of individuals from all paths of life and bring them together in mutual cooperation and spirit. Our core principle is that by communing with other GREAT people we all become BETTER people.

We symbolize this goal with our motto of "Being a Light in the Darkness". This mantra is what drives what we do and is our goal that no matter where or who in this world may need our help, someone from our community is there to lift them up, guide them through the tough times and always be a shoulder to fall on.
